Local bar ran by Handyman’s brewery. The brewing operation can be seen directly above the bar. it’s all bare brick walls, bare floorboards and very utilitarian furnishings. 4 real ales plus a cider - only 2 of their own beers on cask (Pale & Porter) plus Beartown and Salopian guests. I would use it if I lived around here but it’s too suburban to make a special journey out.

Originally back in the day this was a builders merchants. The interior is quite spacious with a high open roof space and the building extending quite a way towards the rear. Once though the main door you enter a lobby area, with sacks of malted barley stacked up along the wall.
The main front drinking area consisted of a the bar area facing you with white tiles along the bar front and a mezzanine floor above displaying their brewery kit. The floors were boarded, seating was long tables with old school stools, along with high tables and stools along the front window. Four handpumps serving Brass Castle Misfit and Three Handyman beers Amber, Porter and Pale. I went for the Pale which was in great shape, but the hop flavouring wasn't really to my palette, so didn't warrant another pint.

Part of Handyman Brewery. The frontage says Handyman Supermarket and there are a number of handpumps serving their beers. The place consists of two rooms and is undecorated. Bare brick walls, a high glass ceiling and wooden floors. Simple high tables and stools make up the majority of the furnishings. There are 5 handpumps on the bar and 3 were on today dispensing Liverpool Craft Little Albion, Heavy Industry Nelsons Eye and Rev James on today. A number of craft beers and bottled beers available too. The rear room is used for music apparently. The brewing vats are above the bar. The place is certainly different.
