David Ross left this review about The Mill House
This building looks as if it might once have been a bank and is a Wetherspoon's style conversion, although not actually a Wetherspoon's pub. Designated as a "Family Pub and Kitchen," it seems to be mainly patronised by diners during the day and early evening, but adopts more of a pub atmosphere later. It's a moderately sized, single room corner lounge, with decor featuring lots of light coloured wood on the walls, seating and bar. There is a pool table at the rear of the room and a beer garden outside at the back. Given the up-market ambience, it is reasonably priced, with a pint of Carlsberg lager costing me £3.00. Fosters, Hop House 13 and Belhaven Saltire lagers, Belhaven Best, Bitter and Twisted, Guinness and Somersby cider are also on draught. There is also an impressive gantry with a wide range of wines and spirits.
