On the face of it, a cafe / bar / restaurant just up from the train station. A large fascia fronts a large, rectangular space inside, semi-delineated by a couple of steps to the left which could be construed as a dining area: the area on the right in front of the bar a mixture of upcycled tables and chairs. A bare-boarded floor is more reminiscent of a school hall, complete with odd, coloured lines on some of the blocks, and varying paintings and photographs cram the walls in a sort of neo-Baroque style. No real ale on display, despite the presence of a solitary handpump. A keg stout - Bath Ales Dark Side - was available, along with something called Loungers Cruiser, an American Pale Ale made for them by Bristol Beer Factory which had a glass over the handle. There were one or two crafty concessions in the fridge, of which I went for a bottle of Founders Ale Day IPA for £4.50. A nice enough place, but it's only really somewhere you're going to visit as it's on the list of 'Amersham Town' on this site.
