A stone-built pub in the town centre which looked a bit dead from the outside but luckily the door was open. The 'real ale' sign painted on the side was sadly disproved by the pair of unused handpumps, with Worthington and Hobgoblin on keg only. A fairly basic and unmodernised pub, with a pool table at the back and an outdoor drinking area in the rear yard. A fair bit of potential here, but rather wasted.
