Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Eebria Taproom

Unusually for the Beer Mile, the Eebria Tap Room is not actually a brewery outlet but instead a showcase for a beer distribution company. However, apart from that, the setup is very similar to many of its neighbours, with a small servery inside the shuttered archway and some rustic seating on the opposite side of the narrow access road alongside the railway. Eight beers on tap from a range of different producers, including Verdant, Twisted Barrel and Lost + Found, but I tried out Alpha State's hibiscus-flavoured Hibiskusläppar (£4.00, schooner).

One of many similar establishments forming part of the famous Bermondsey Beer Mile, like many of the others this is located in the arches under the railway track, and is of course a brewery tap rather than a pub, and this is reflected in the somewhat industrial style décor, if one could go so far as calling it that.

The flooring was some type of concrete screed, whilst the usual white corrugated iron of these establishments was cladding the ceiling in order to channel the continually dripping water from the tunnel roof away from the punters underneath, although the walls appeared to be some sort of painted breeze block. Space for seating downstairs was limited and a mezzanine level had been constructed to offer further seating, with the underside of this being suspended polystyrene ceiling tiles, which seemed an odd choice. Other than that though, they had made a bit more of an effort than many of their nearby competitors, with a bar counter made from old pallets, wooden planks affixed to some areas of walling which had been covered in a selection of beer mats, strings of fairy lights and some stencilled artwork. A few shelves displayed a collection of old bottles, and there was also apparently a beer garden, although we did not investigate this.

The only beers I noted were guests which seems odd, although I may well have missed some as it had been a long day by the time I got here. They were all keg rather than cask and consisted of Cloudwater Pale Ale, Tempest Elemental Dark, Wooha Things Can Only Get Bitter, Torrside Yellow Peak and Brewboard Framweisse. Overall, I quite liked this one, I thought that they had made a bit more of an effort to creating a welcoming atmosphere compared to some of the very industrial set-ups nearby.

This is a nicely put-together addition to the Bermondsey Beer Mile from the Eebria online beer delivery company, who have created a small, yet relatively comfortable beer showcase bar in this single railway arch. The usual concrete floor and corrugated iron clad walls applied here, and the vaulted ceiling was sadly obstructed by a first-floor area of undetermined usage. The servery is to the left on entering, with a counter made from old pallets and some fridges and taps along the simple bar back. A beer board at the end of the bar lists the keg range and this information is also available in handy beer menus on each table. Opposite the bar was the highly unusual sight of a sjoelen table – the Dutch version of a shuffleboard – which I really wanted to play, as I’ve never seen one in the UK before. This was surrounded by three tables further to the right plus one more further along, also made from pallets. A pretty cool ‘hip-hops’ mural on the rear wall added some colour and visual distraction, as did the pallets that were nailed to the side wall and used to display various beer bottles – these guys must get through a lot of pallets in their part of the beer trade! Motown tunes played through the bar’s sound system and there was a TV discreetly showing a muted rugby match in one corner. A couple of high tables were plonked outside the arch and there is a beer garden to the rear, although I didn’t make it out there.
The staff here were really friendly and welcoming to everyone who came by, taking time to talk through their range, offer samples and generally impart their knowledge and make sure everyone got a beer they were happy with. I picked out the Tiny rebel Clwb Tropicana (£6.00) from the eight draught keg lines which were showcasing the likes of Northern Monk and Siren alongside some lesser known names like Wild Weather and Wishbone.
I thought these guys had done a good job of making their arch as comfortable and cosy as they could, and I can easily see me popping back to sample more of their interesting rotating range of small-batch beer. The friendly service topped things off nicely, and although this place is anything but cheap, I’d rather pay a little more to drink in a pleasant spot like this than in one of the plain, scruffy arches you can find along the length of the mile.

Just a few arches down from Partizan Brewing, this Taproom is only on open Saturdays 11.00 to 5.30.On my visit there was a Tap takeover from Torside Brewing with six of their beers available. It seemed a little more expensive than its neighbour with three thirds for £6.00, bottles and cans are also available.A handy addition to the "Beer Mile".
