A make over to the pub has opened up more space, it looks much wider inside now with seating in short booths down the left hand side. The counter has been relocated to the right hand side allowing some seating and new separate toilets to be inserted into the former servery. Five pulls on the counter four in use with a selection of local brews plus the Tetleys still on. Decent quality of beer. Two trebles of standard kegs. There’s a rear garden area.

Tiny square room micro, counter at rear with five pulls : Tetleys (!) plus four others including a reasonable strength dark beer and a Bad Seed beer. Seating limited to four small tables with stools and a longish banquette, a couple more stools at shelves and a unisex bog to the left of the bar. Six kegs plus soft drinks wines and spirits but no electronics; even so no one could argue it's not a micro. Dreadful fake stone wallpaper.

The owners named this micropub the "Cracker Barrel" after their favourite restaurant they frequented on a trip to Florida. This former Post Office consists of one room, with a small bar positioned at the rear. The walls were all wallpapered with a brick effect patterned paper, seating was in the form of low cast iron, timber top tables with stools, some bench seating and a couple of armchairs. Five pumps, with four in use on our visit, serving Mill Valley Brewery Looking Through, Ossett Blonde, Milestone Black Pearl and Tetley Bitter. The Tetley was their regular beer, at £2.50 a pint and their guest ales priced at £3 a pint. We went for the Mill Valley, which was a decent beer. We were made very welcome on our visit and the locals were all friendly and chatty.

Smallish one roomed family run micro pub close to the Greengates crossroads. there was 5 beer pumps on the bar and although one was not functioning, the others were Tetley cask and 3 other interesting ales. Quite liked this and there was certainly nothing wrong with the pint of Porter i tried.
