Fully reopened and boy is it up it's own arse. Still persisting with table service and charging you 10% for it even when you go to the bar to find out what's on and actually order there. Our table must have been nearly 4 feet from the bar and it still cost us 80p service charge. I had a decent enough pint of TT Boltmaker at stupid (even for York) £5 per pint and Ms CAMRA had a half of cider at an even more ambitious £3.20 for a half. So the round was £9. It's a lovely place and the building looks great. But I don't see how they can justify the prices. Won't be bothering again.

By the way they didn't even say thank you when Ms CAMRA took the glasses back. Maybe they thought we were going to charge them for the "service".

As you enter, the bar is on the left, keg only, unfortunately. There is another room to the rear down a couple of steps.

As OB says, this is predominantly a restaurant and that's why we came.
I did though have a very decent pint of Bad Seed Session IPA before dinner and was also offered Black Sheep so they do at least have two cask options.
As an aside, the food, the service and the location were tremendous and I'd happily return for those but there are many, many better alternatives for a pint in York.

Down the steps from Lendal bridge and turn left, its there somewhere. Largely a restaurant but you can just drink in the bar area; the riverside terrace and upper floor seems to be diners only. There's a coffee bit and a beer, wine & spirits bit with two pulls including Bad Seed Accazza, plus lots of interesting keggy stuff with two large tanks of Pilsner Urquell and Bad Seed Session IPA, which means this is a place that makes some very careful choices about what beer it sells - go there - I'm quite impressed and I don't say that very often. Huge dining room to one side and they find it necessary to name the toilets Olafs & Helgas.
