David Ross left this review about Den Bar and Kitchen

As the name suggests, this is part bar and part restaurant, with the dining section at the rear, although some customers were eating in the front bar area. With living room style furnishing and decor, even that bit has the ambience more of a cafe than a pub, but as it's one of only a handful of licensed premises in this up-market Glasgow dormitory town, it's still worth knowing about. Unsurprisingly, it's relatively expensive, with a pint of Guinness costing £3.80. Belhaven Best, Belhaven Twisted Thistle, Strongbow cider and Tennent's, St. Mungo, Peroni and Staropramen lagers are also on draught. There is also an extensive whiskey, wine and cocktail menu. It was quiet and pleasant on the Friday afternoon of my visit, but rather lacking in pub atmosphere. The name is presumably just a shortening of Bearsden, as, unlike some pubs in the adjacent big city, it certainly couldn't be described as a "den."
