Real Ale Ray left this review about Mounting Stone

The pub was named after a large stone at the top of Bramhall, where horse riders used it to dismount. The interior of this micro has a blacksmith theme as the site was once a blacksmiths outlet, hence the comprehensive display of blacksmiths tools displayed around the interior. The bar area situated midway on the left had side had a rough cut pine counter and the front of the bar was a mix of pine and corrugated steel panels and glass display cases displaying old bottles and old soda syphons. The two young bar staff were very friendly and welcoming, they also had good background knowledge about the beers they were serving. Six handpumps serving two house beers which were Bollington Long Hop and Best Bitter. Their guest beers were Weird Beard Black Perle, Arbor M Bomb, Salopian Luna and Twin Peaks Wander Beyond. The pub also had good atmosphere, so well worth a visit.

A Micro Pub in a former shop in the centre of Bramhall opened in June 2016.
Beware its website has incorrect postcode (SK7 2JJ) leaving it 1 mile out of place to Google searchers.
