A reasonable place to stop if you are walking the hinterland between Hockley and the City.

Craft ales with a very good selection and knowledgeable staff. Will be remembered as the first place that I have tried Schofferhofer. Might replace bloody mary's as my breakfast drink of choice :-)

They do some food - toasties and the like.

Update: 6% Deya for £8.40. Does this sound reasonable :-)

As stated below a typical craft beer place with prices to match. That said there is a great choice and the beers we had were excellent. I like it here and will call again! I'm certainly not a naïve youngster and my midlife crisis was over long ago! Perhaps there is another pigeon hole I can fit into Al ??

I actually thought I wasn't going to like this place and I was correct. Modern day craft bar that drains the wallets of dozy arsed twentysomthings. A wide selection of "how much?" fizzys to choose from. A typical anodyne setting and, for me, a one time visit. Naive youngsters and midlife crisis people need apply only.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wolf

Modern craft beer bar, located on the ground floor of a large brick building in the rather seedy lower end of Constitution Hill, and opened in 2017. Darkly furnished, so quite gloomy in the four small seating areas if not sat immediately adjacent to the front windows. Decor all beer-related, including the equivalent of pump clips from the ten keg taps. Speaking of which, there was a decent selection of nine beers in a variety of styles - including the Yonder Gander gooseberry sour IPA (£4.80, schooner) - and a draught cider.

Minimalist new bar, apparently created by knocking two shops together, quick coat of paint and hang a few artefacts around. Seems to be aimed at students; prices perhaps a bit steep but various offers. As mentioned below has an impressive line-up of craft keg taps, with a changing range of interesting brews, but sadly no real ale. Food probably could also be described as 'Craft'. It does have the potential to develop a bit of character and fills a gap between the City and Jewellery Quarter.

Larger than you think craft ale bar, near Snow Hill & St Pauls's Square but does feel like a long way away as the location is slightly down at heel and on the wrong side of the tracks (literally).

However, if you can brave the walk, the location and newness means this bar is away from the hectic venues near by meaning more comfort. It is nicely done out over two spaces, friendly and informative with a real passion for their beers.

Board games available

No real ale but 8 fine craft beers
