A fine micropub. I only went in the ground floor bit and this, as you would expect, is small. 6 handpumps serving a good variety of beers from Lancaster, Crwr Îal, Wily Fox, Titanic and Deeplyvale. Their own brew is available. 6 keg fonts are along the wall behind the bar. A good little place.

Two storey micropub on the main shopping street. Very steep stairs both up to the first floor and down to the toilets. It's fairly basic, with a few beer posters around the walls and a multi coloured guitar. It was very busy on my Friday, early evening visit and the 6 handpumps were getting some welly. My pint was in good nick and I'll happily call in here again for one.

peter ashworth left this review about The Hop Micro Pub

Refreshingly bright and clean micro pub situated on Rawtenstall's main shopping street complete with a friendly and knowledgeable hostess. The décor is that of light coloured wood with seating for around 10 people plus ample space towards the bar area for the vertical drinker.Popped in about 10-15am for an early Saturday morning snifter where I found 6 interesting cask ales to choose from and opted for The Brightside Brewing Company's Underground porter which was indeed in fine fettle. There is a bottle cabinet behind the bar with a fair selection of imported and local bottles, plus a plus bottles of wine and the like in the niche where the fireplace was.
Warning if you go to the downstairs toilet be aware of the steep and deep steps.
I think there is also seating upstairs although I never ventured there.
