Quinno _ left this review about Keg Craft Beer Tasting Bar

A newish micro, just off the main high street and named KEG not as a CAMRA-bait but after the owner’s initials. A single room with whitewashed and wood plank walls, some music memorabilia and a small amount of covered outside seating. Eight lines with 6 keg and 2 cask, the latter of which were both from Fisher; not a favourite brewery of mine but I suffered for the tick - my Olicana was fair. Also went for a Tiny Rebel keykeg which was…keykeg-like. Proper cider and bottles also available. Bucks prices for the beer but seen worse in the general locale. It was pretty busy here on a wet Saturday afternoon so the locals are buying into it. A decent stop, hopefully next time I’m in there’ll be better cask options.

Steve of N21 left this review about Keg - Craft Beer Tasting Bar

Opened in November 2016, the Keg Craft Beer Tasting Bar is a new drinking option for what is largely the beer desert of Bourne End Bucks. One of the modern trend of Bottle shops / bars, this one functions more as a craft beer bar with a decent range of beers available with a few bottles available to purchase rather than the other way round.
Internally it’s a one room space with some table seating to the front and to the left hand side, a bottle rack on the right hand wall and the beer tap wall on the back behind the bar surface.
There are nine taps available, six being keg options, two with Cask ales on and the last dispensing a real cider. For our visit Windsor and Eton Windsor Knot and Vale Brewery Red Kite were on the Cask taps. But we were here to try some of the Keg offerings and these were a decent mix of differing beer styles in the shape of Five Points Brewery Railway porter, Saltaire Cascade pale, Renegade Brewery Craft Lager, W&E Uprising Treason West Coast IPA, Moor Beer Co Confidence and Tiny Rebel Dirty Stop out Stout. All beers and ciders are available in 1/3 glass, half’s or pints and the price range of £3.80 for the Cask beers and between £4 to £5 for the Keg beers was reasonable for the area.
Outside the beer there’s a range of avant-garde gins available as well as a limited wine selection.
With the recent trend being for pubs to close in this area it’s great to see a new venture open just where it’s needed and I wish it success for the future.
