E TA left this review about London Inn

A traditional roadside pub which also serves as a great village local. There is a small car park plus some additional parking in the road at the side, but not much by way of garden. Inside, the single large, knocked-through bar has a pool table and dartboard at one end, while the other end is more of a saloon area, with tables and bench seats. There is a modern stone fireplace at the saloon end, which has a woodburner in it. At the back there is a comfortable restaurant area. The food is a mix of basic pub grub at average prices, plus they hold regular steak nights, curry nights and they sell take-away pizzas. There is also a pretty good specials boards. There is a jukebox, but it was thankfully mute when we visited, so we were able to enjoy pleasant conversation with the locals. The staff were friendly and the locals welcoming. Two ales on draft, Butcombe’s Original and Otter Bright, both in decent condition and most enjoyable. They run charity coffee mornings as part of being a village social hub, and there are Happy Hours two days a week. A capital pub that I shall revisit very soon.
