Blackthorn _ left this review about To the Moon

A recent opening on the site of what may have been a restaurant at one time I think, it consists of both a bar and a shop, although opening times seem to be a bit limited. We have tried to get in on a few occasions previously only to find them closed, and indeed I believe they do not open at all on Sunday or Monday, so do check before making a special journey. On our Thursday evening visit, the friendly barman advised us that they usually shut around 10:30pm. Seeing as we were the only punters in there the whole time we were there, I’m not even sure it’s worth them staying open that late.

Internally it consists primarily of one room with a small snug at the rear. There was some sort of wood strip on the floor and deep aqua blue paintwork on the walls. The bar counter was unusual appearing to be covered in some sort of newspaper. The snug had a low leather sofa as well as a couple of chairs, and a glass roof must make it light and airy in the daytime. A pot plant stood in one corner, but otherwise there was little of any note.

Unfortunately there were no real ales on tap, just Dawkins Bristol Blond on keg. Cider choice was also disappointing with just Cornish Orchards, which is far too sweet for my liking.
