Enjoyed our visit to this 2019 Good Beer Guide pub which was very busy before our crowd got there, but it was a friendly bar with a good choice of ales. Hornes Dark Fox and Black Antler, and Tring Side Pocket for a toad and Citra Session. We chose the Dark Fox, Black Antler and Citra Session and all were fine. They also serve keg, bottles and cans so plenty of selection for the beer lovers. Good atmosphere.

Indeed it has, and quite pleasant it is too, located on Woburn's main thoroughfare and occupying the premises of a former china shop. It retains the Olde worlde wooden-framed windows, and is bare-floorboarded throughout. The bar is situated against the right-hand wall with bar stool, raised seating in the left-hand window corner and comfier seating further back into the room. The ale range is pleasingly local, with representation from Tring, Leighton Buzzard, 3 Brewers and Hornes, along with one from Oakham. Some craft lagers were available on keg along with Beavertown's Gamma Ray. Plenty of bottles and cans in fridges begin the bar and a smattering of wines and spirits to boot. A couple of ciders from Aspall and Gwynt y Ddraig rounded of the varied drinks selection. A lack of music rounded things of with a decent smattering of locals in attendance on a early Sunday evening. It doesn't necessarily tick all the boxes of the micropub genre, but it does enough and is worth a visit if in the area.
