Steve C left this review about The New Club

The New Club is a restaurant/bar in a prime location on the seafront almost opposite the new and troubled i360 viewing platform. Out the front are tables and chairs that take advantage of this location. The interior consists of a bar along the right hand wall that faces seating that was set for dining. Downstairs is a small seating area that was being used for an office party/dinner during my visit on a recent Friday evening.
I was asked three or four times if I was OK as I stood at the bar so for some peace I decided to sit at one of the tables outside. Wines, spirits and cocktails are the order of the day, although Brooklyn’s Lager and American Ale were both available. I was charged £4 for a half (shock horror), which turned out to be a schooner 2/3 pint (£6 a pint? Do me a favour!)
I liked the chilled reggae and the barman and manager (owner?) were very friendly, but £6 a pint is a bit steep for my wallet.
