E TA left this review about The Pound

We found this former town gaol to be quite cheerless, while the young bar staff weren’t terribly helpful. The inside felt confused and chaotic, although the garden, with its position by the City moat, was a much better bet. There was no real ale and only a very limited selection of keg, and the food was very much overpriced for what it was. Leave this one to the tourists, whether in its current form or if it reverts back to being a prison.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Pound

A modern bar/restaurant inserted into some very old buildings, with a glass frontage and terrace overlooking the river. Still no real ales but with Curious beers on keg.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Pound

Multi-room, multi-level establishment (formerly a police station) beside the landmark Westgate Tower, with a bar (in the newer infill section), restaurant and an 'escape room' experience, together with some dining rooms in converted cells, etc. No real ale, unfortunately, with the keg taps offering Peroni, Kozel and craft beers from Curious and London Fields.
