Al Bundy left this review about Jurgen’s Bierhaus

Now renamed Jurgens Bierhaus and named after Liverpool manager. Lots of LFC memorabilia as you would expect including a couple of European Cups behind the bar. The layout is unchanged, however the rear part is now called The Boot Room. Sadly only fizzpops available and no real ale. Obviously not popular with the blue quarter of the city.

Brainy Pool left this review about Tom Halls Tavern

is this a sport bar or a music bar, as the walls are covered with both? the answer may be somewhere in between, plus a comedy club as well.the room as you enter has a stage for live music. it's hard to get a feeling for it when it's empty like today, though it has obviously had a lot of money spent on it. friendly barmaid but i'd hesitate to recommend it.

A few changes since Al's visit. But the internal space is still the same as described below. Liverpool Comedy Club now uses the rear room, so there are lots more tables and chairs and only one pool table. The other major change is that the real ale has gone and the handpumps removed. They now sell Cisk the Maltese lager, apparently the only pub in Liverpool to do so according to the barman. I had a pint, it was still very cold and fairly tasteless, just as it was when we were in Malta last year. We won't be calling in again.

Large sports and live music bar. Its a basement bar with the entrance on The Strand. Going down the steps you enter a square area which has a stage directly ahead of you. To the right there are 2 passageways to the rest of the pub with the bar being down the left passageway. At the rear is another square area containing 2 pool tables. The walls are decorated with sport memorabilia and local bands. 2 handpumps are on the bar dispensing 2 Sharps beers, Doom Bore and Atlantic today.
