Called in on Friday lunch time to find they weren't serving food. Their Facebook page and WhatPub both suggest food service times are 12pm-2:30pm and 5pm-8:30pm on a Friday, so I assume we hit them on a bad day when they were short staffed or something. A shame, but just to warn anyone else that it may be worth checking before making a special visit.

Enjoyed our visit to this brewpub yesterday, and we were told that they did not always have their own beers on so we were lucky as we were able to enjoy Remedy The Crusher along with a Brewhouse & Kitchen beer.

Final Good Beer Guide 2019 Tick - a bar described as "Steam Punk"

You can see from the photo that this is a converted shop but they've done well to make the brewery a feature behind a glass wall and the rest of the place has a very pubby feel.

Surprisingly, only 2 hand pulls on a Sunday night - both Stouts. The Velveteen from Dark Revolution was a Dark revelation. Beautiful.

Would come again.

This trendy bar has been more than well described below. It was fairly quiet on my Thursday afternoon visit. I couldn't see any Remedy beers on the six hand pumps and found reading all the clips a bit of a chore in the available light. I went for a Marble Amber American (£4.00) which was in good nick but a bit expensive for just a 4.8% abv beer. It was also served in a jug without being given the choice.
It's too trendy for my liking but the choice of beers means I would almost certainly return.

Visited last Saturday afternoon for a late lunch and a couple of beers. Have visited a couple of times before and I end up thinking I have taken a wrong turn near the market and suddenly it's there in front of me. Naturally part of the attraction for me is that they brew their own beers, available at the bar, in addition to a number of guest cask ales and some craft keg options too.

A decent mix of styles available, I had their own Comet beer plus Underdog (a porter by Northern Monkey Brew Co) and Nexus (a white beer by Eyes Brewing). My drinking accomplice had a Brewsmith Bitter which he was impressed with. There were easily another couple of beers I would have been tempted to try, had we not decided to move on after eating.

Food wise the choice is mainly burgers around the £6 to £7 mark, plus the option of sides (chips / sweet potato fries / onion rings) around the £3 mark. Very pleasant and definitely one of my go-to places when in Stockport town centre.

Located just off the market square, this is a large brewpub with a modern feel to it, which marks a sharp contrast in a town full of classic traditional boozers. The pub essentially has a two room layout with the servery at the rear straddling both of them. The place is bare boarded throughout and has a mix of undressed and fancy wallpapered walls. One bare brick wall in the right hand room had been covered with countless small picture frames displaying a seemingly unrelated selection of images, whilst elsewhere, shelves were stacked full of whisky bottles. The servery has a rough hewn counter and bare brick bar back with just a small section of traditional shelving. Seating options were a mix of pews and banquettes in the right hand room and standard tables and chairs to the left in a room that looked like it was a little more formal, although the brewing plant could be clearly seen to the rear. The place has a few quirky features including an impressive grandfather clock in one corner and light fittings made from bits of old pipe and the overall effect is very pleasant – a modest modernisation which fits in well with the town’s pub scene.
There was one homebrew on the bar – Remedy Oatmeal Stout – which I tried and found in excellent shape and a very tasty drop to boot. Other cask offerings included Squawk Pale Ale, Torrside Yellow Peak, Greenfield Black Five, Cheshire Brewhouse Engine Vein and something called ‘Go Bananas’ from an unknown brewery. This selection was ably supplemented by an eclectic keg selection and various bottled beers.
This was a really good start to my two days in Stockport, offering something markedly different to the vast majority of other pubs I visited. I found the place comfortable and well appointed and the beer was in great shape and probably merited further investigation. A good brewpub and well worth dipping into to see what’s on.

Modern brewbar with the usual hipsterish distressed industrial fittings and ambience. You can see that it’s two buildings knocked through when you arrive at the bar area and see half of the old supporting wall. From here you can also observe the glass-fronted brewery room to the left. Six pumps with a wide range of styles available. Just one of theirs on - the Oatmeal Stout - which was superb. Also, as to be expected, an eclectic range of keg and bottles too. As much as I didn’t care too much for it as a pub, the beer demands a visit. 7.5

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Remedy

Modern 'bar & brewhouse' located opposite the Market Hall within a rather plain brick building beside the more imposing but sadly closed Bulls Head. Having said that, the two-room interior is well done and the brewing vessels can be seen behind the glazing at the far end. Interesting selection of slightly eclectic decorative features, and a sensible mix of furniture. Good range of cask ales in different styles (including two dark beers) from the six handpumps, but I felt a bit guilty opting for the Greenfield Black Field (£1.65, half) in preference to the 'house' Oatmeal Stout.

Yep I can also add my vote of approval to this modernish bar with internal brewery. I thought they have done a very good job with the interior design with some minimalist features which wouldn’t be out of place in the hipster capital of East London, but has enough other things going on to give you more than a nod to a proper pub. I particularly liked the pseudo period light fittings with their bare lightbulbs and the collection of framed pictures adorning the dividing wall between the two room spaces.
The Cask beers on for our visit have been described below by my fellow crawlers, but for the record the keg options were Hofbrauhaus Helles, Dortmunder Union Vier and Flensburger Pilsner from Germany Skyway IPA from the States and then closer to home Crossing the Rubicon from the Drygate Brewery and Witch Hunt from Torrside Brewing

I really liked this stylish modern bar with a nicely polished teak counter and contrasting grey cladded front and the mosaic of polished one penny pieces around the front floor of the bar. There was also a grandmother clock in the front room up against the wall, which added to the character of the place along with the collection of miniature framed pictures all over the party wall between the two rooms.
On the beer front, I initially thought their beers were going to be too way out for my taste, especially when I saw the Mighty Medicine Go Bananas. I was a bit unsure about an oat pale ale, but after a taster, I was pleasantly surprised, and it actually turned out to be one of the best beers of the day on our Pubs Galore crawl. I could have happily spent a couple of hours supping in here.
