Old Boots left this review about The Buck Inn

A surprise find in the depths of Bilsdale in the North Yorkshire Moors. To the right is a Public bar and to the left is a lounge although it's more for eating and there's restaurant behind complete with two big dogs (sometimes). The counter has three pulls with beers from Wainstones brewery in nearby Stokesley made specially for the pub. Plus there are some very decent imported German and Czech beers on draught - the landlord is German. Pilsner Urquell, Hof Brau of Munich, Erdinger, Veltins and Dortmunder Union are all represented but no UK standards. Furnished in matching separate tables and chairs and carpeted throughout the decor is fairly understated. Some German dishes are on the menu alongside the normal English fare. There's free wifi which is very welcome on the Moors and a rear car park. The bitter was a bit cold but well kept.
