This cracking little micro bar ticked more boxes than a lot of the excellent bars we visited yesterday, and well deserves it's place in the 2018 Good Beer Guide. We were a coach group of around 20 people and were welcome. The selection was brilliant. Battledown Original, Swan Porter, AJ's Ruby, Bewdley Jubilee, Totally Brewed Punch in your Face, Birmingham Confused Brummie and our choices from Swan and Bewdley were great. Beer is served in one third, two thirds and pints with the prices displayed beneath the clips. Flights of thirds can also be purchased. Take away cartons too. Pump clip decor round the walls, and forthcoming ales shown too. Brilliant place. Must get back there and wish it was closer to home.

Your enjoyment of this place will be purely down to how you feel about micropubs. This could be a blue print.

Former shop, with a brightly lit single room. There is nowhere to hide in here. Your drinking will be in full view of the other punters, sat in a horseshoe on hop sack covered furniture. The Shop Keep looks out at his punters, king of all he surveys.

Beer wise - four handpulls were noticed - some with handwritten signs. A previously unseen Three Tuns Stout was chosen. Love their ales and this was a decent example, although the head soon disappeared.

Came for the Good Beer Guide Tick.

Previously a Polish Grocers and a Bakery before that. A very pleasant Micro this one with an eccentric looking owner behind the bar with a very strong local accent. There were seven handpumps on the bar, with six on, with the majority of the ales locally sourced. I initially ordered a pint of Three Shires Brewery IPA, but was informed that they only served their beer in 2/3rds glasses, which wasn't a problem, price wise.
My Three Shires was excellent and I could have drank it all night. We also went for the Green Duck Brewery Duck Blonde, another good session ale. This micro also had a choice of 8 ciders and there were some cobs on the bar. We really liked this Micro and would happily make a return visit, when in Worcester again.

Worcester's first micro pub. Single room with a rear counter which is home to 7 pulls, 4 ales plus three ciders, all from small local suppliers. Beer is stilaged behind the counter, with more beers on gravity dispense. Bench and stool seating, upholstered with hop sacks, at tables and a few nines used as tables. Beer mat decor along with some bull related pictures, the mats come from further afield including quite a few from Yorkshire. A pleasant example of the breed but the customers arrived in their own groups so conversation was a bit limited, it was fairly full of course. There's a neat beer related display in the window, remember it used to be a shop, and check out the front door handle.
