Graham Coombs left this review about The Parisian

A slightly gaudy French-themed café-bar, with some nice French fonts on the counter but no real ale.

Aqualung . left this review about Slater's Craft Beer Bar

This is a long narrow modern bar where the minimalistic decor is predominately white. There seemed to be a limited range of spirits on a shelf behind the bar and a couple of cider boxes but apart from that all I could see was the ten hand pumps and the ten keg pumps at the back. I didn't venture upstairs if it was even open on a Tuesday afternoon.
One beer was out of action but the other nine were Slater's Premium, Top Totty & Queen Bee, Green Jack Gone Fishing, Black Paw Gala Ale, Milton Forum, Dow Bridge Bonum Mild, Loch Lomond Brave Hop IPA and Maxim Hapi. I went for the Loch Lomond IPA (£3.60) which was in first class nick. Back in March I had updated the CAMRA Discount tab below but did I remember this? Of course not! £3.60 sounds expensive for the area but this was a 6% ABV beer so would have been pretty good value with the discount. Serving cider from a box on the counter is a poor means of dispense and given that one hand pump was unused I can't help thinking it would be better served that way and kept in the cold room / cellar.
Despite being a modern bar I liked this place and would return especially as the Lych Gate is just around the corner.

Al Bundy left this review about Slater's Craft Beer Bar

A modern style 'craft beer' bar. Its on 2 floors though I only went in the sparsely decorated small ground floor bar. 10 lovely shiny aluminium handpumps on the bar dispense 10 real ales and 10 shiny aluminium pumps on the wall dispense 10 crafty beers. A lot of Slaters beers as you would imagine. Sadly the one I had, XT Brewing Ten tasted like it might of had a mop left in the barrel. Its not for me this place but then again I'm not trying to be American.

Danny O'Revey left this review about Slater's Craft Beer Bar

Plush, sleek beerhouse in central Wolverhampton. lots of clean lines, chrome and modernism.

Its modern interior won't please everyone, but its a perfect foil for the adjacent Lych Gates.

A great outlet for Slaters beers as well as others, my Rye IPA was excellent. A really good addition to Wolverhampton beer scene.

Was very busy pre-football due to its location near Molineux.

Ale Monster left this review about Slater's Craft Beer Bar

Modern bistro/café style bar which opened to the public on Thursday the 25th February, it is owned by Slaters brewery of Stafford. Long narrow room with brushed steel counter on the right as you enter the corner door, light brown leather bench seats and high stools at the windows. Stairs on the right just past the counter leading up to a second small room which has a bottled beer bar. Toilets are down another set of stairs. No TV’s or gambling machines. Posh nosh available.

An amazing ten cask beers and ten keg beers available. Cask beers on my visit were Slaters Rye IPA, Top Totty, Premium, Black IPA and Haka supplemented by changing guest beers Holdens Black Country Bitter, Bathams Best Bitter, Marston’s El Dorado, Heritage Masterpiece, Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild. Keg beers were Slaters Green Hop and 1995 with Williams Brothers Craft Lager, Belgian Kriek, Konig Lundwig Wheat Beer, Cloud Water Black IPA, Left Handed Giant US Pale Ale, Marston’s Revisionist Oyster Stout and Sandford Orchard Devon Misty Cloudy Cider. I tried four of the cask beers and they were all in good condition in my opinion, the Haka was particularly good. No pump clips, order by number. 10% CAMRA discount on cask only.

I visited on the opening night and was very impressed with the selection of beers, not many places in Wolves where you can get “craft” keg. To be honest I’m still not sure what to make of it, I always think back to an amusing comment elsewhere on this site about a pub selling “the best kept Carling in town”. The Kriek and Wheat beer are a rare and welcome sight though. Décor is a bit poncey for my taste but I can forgive that if the range and quality of beer is maintained. It wasn’t so long ago that it seemed like the only place that did cask ale in the centre was Wetherspoons! This the Lych Gate and the Dog and Doublet have all opened in the last four years. Nice to see a local brewery investing in the city and a very welcome addition to the growing real ale offering.
