Jonathan Wilde left this review about Harvester Swindon

An older opening on the ever expanding Northern Fringe of Swindon. As a Harvester it's primarily food led but the area around the bar is open to drinkers if not feeling somewhat tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the place. Some would say frenzy but is pleasant enough with views offered of the slip road network associated with accessing the A419 and the mighty dual carriageway itself in the distance.

There are no real ales on a feature creeping in on new openings from my visits to other venues. Speckled Hen appears the keg choice offered.

Despite the new opening of a competitor on the same access road it remained busy on an Saturday lunchtime visit despite the higher drink prices. Maybe the "salad and grill" model and carvery can coexist is close proximity.

Not a place you'd really go out of your way to find unless travelling between Swindon and Gloucester and were in need of a pit stop.
