Now very much a gastropub, run by the chef. We were hoping to eat here. But it was so popular that all tables were taken and we didn't fancy eating outside, particularly considering the frequent rain showers over Hampshire on this day.
Nevertheless, we did stop for a swift half in a secluded outdoor area. Bowman British IPA was the solitary real ale. It was being poured through as we arrived. The drink ended up being extremely swift, as the rain began again.
Disappointing. More for diners than drinkers.
