If I was a big fan of craft keg I would definitely score this multi roomed venue and bar a much higher score. I don't mind calling in these sort of places for one or two small glasses, but I still get the urge of a decent pint of cask, which isn't super cooled down like the beer you'd find in these keg bars. The bar in here is situated in a room at the back on the left hand side. They had a choice of 19 kegs on our visit, so we went for the Moor Beer Bibble 2/3rds at £2.70 and Puritan 2/3rds at £3.00, both were served in decent and trendy glass, but you can only start to taste the flavour once you've put your hands around the glass to warm it up.
We sat in a room adjacent to the bar, which was finished in a pleasant sage green colour with hanging filament bulbs, with old brass speakers used as shades and the floors were boarded throughout. I have to say the staff in here were all friendly and helpful, when choosing a beer, and they also didn't mind handing out a few tasters. Would I return? Maybe on a very hot day, when I'd appreciate a very cold drink.

2/3 pints only and I've just been told closing at 7.pm be wary if expecting pints and sociable hours.

A craft beer outlet which many will have their opinion on, but if it's getting young people into different styles of beer and keeping them off the Eurofizz, then surely it's to be encouraged. The interior isn't dissimilar to the Sandford Park Alehouse inasmuch as it's a former Georgian townhouse and they have the the standard "keg taps against the bar wall" serving format, with numerous additions in a fridge behind the bar, and what Aussies call 'tallies' in a (locked) standalone fridge on the other side of the bar - one shudders to think what they would cost. My Wild Beer Millionaire (£3.65 for 2/3rds) was served in a strange beer glass style, which I'm sure was one of the choices Harrison Ford had in the depths of Petra in the 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'. Curmudgeons will also be horrified to know that there was a distinct lack of beards among the clientele.
