Sprawling bar and dining in this beautiful old Georgian building, it doesn’t look like kind of place that will be drinker friendly but it actually has a nice relaxed atmosphere - no “wait to be seated”, I just roamed freely around the various areas on this Thursday evening visit. Owned by the company behind Bowland Brewery so the four real ales are all from them.

Large Georgian Hotel in central Kirkby opposite the historic Market Place. All the usual hotel features with several dining areas but a pleasant airy bar which is housed in what was originally a separate pub. 4 decent local ales available.
