Graham Coombs left this review about The World Bar

Acceptable modern bar on the outside of Resorts World with light airy feel and a nice outdoor patio. As stated in earlier reviews offers a large range of bottled 'craft' beers and three handpumps, which typically feature Landlord, a Purity brew, and a guest, which was Proper Job at time of visit and in good condition. Prices on the high side, but may operate a 'happy hour' between 5 and 7 if not busy. Handy source of NEC real ale when the 'Spoons is shut.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The World Bar

New bar within the Genting Resorts World complex, with modern furniture / decor and an 'Alpine Terrace' overlooking the Pendigo Lake. Live music advertised each Saturday. Three real ales on handpump - Rocking Rudolph, Purity Mad Goose (£4.70, but too cloudy to consider drinking) so swapped for Landlord (a bit hazy, but drinkable). Also had a few less usual and imported keg beers, together with quite an interesting selection of bottled beers. So, has potential, but they to do something on the cellarmanship front.

Danny O'Revey left this review about The World Bar

Large open plan bar, part of purpose new built Resorts World standalone complex within the NEC grounds. Its a 15 minute stroll from the railway station and 20 minutes from the airport via the sky-link to the station. Resorts Worls contains bars/restaurants/shopping/hotel/spa/casino all under one roof.

Open plan, high ceiled bar partly over looking the lake, on the ground floor of the complex. Modern, light & comfortable with some arm chairs & other seating. There is some bare light brick and various pictures as well as the large glass frontage.

The emphasis is on beer - various lagers & bottled beers from around the world, but also including 3 permanent cask ales - Purity Pure UBU, Taylors Landlord & Two Towers Hockley Gold.

As a new build & next to TGIs & Pizza Express it will not be to everybody's taste, but the fact they offer real ale & some local at that shows they are making an effort and is actually the best source of real ale for some distance!

There are various burgers & pizza & some foods cooked with beer.

There is also live music at various times, again seeming to cater for different tastes - metal, swing, blues, jazz etc.
