I agree with Al this Micro has also received a well deserved 9 rating from me also. The pub is spotlessly clean, always has a good selection of ales and ciders. You will always get a good welcome from the owner and other drinkers. Originally this corner space was a bakery named Blackledges and was previously a plumbers merchants. The pub has lots of ornaments and curios scattered around the place, all of which are beer related. I found the glass cabinets along the lobby interesting, especially the old porcelain pump handles. Another novelty item, that I have never seen before, was the urinal plastic goalposts with dangling football. Unfortunately the train which runs around the top of the front room, had derailed. Beer wise I went for the Neptune Triton and Neptune Riptide, both were excellent.

A new micropub that is on Queens Drive. Its a comfortable little place that's a bit like sitting in someones front room. 7 handpumps with beers today from Wild Beer, Blackjack, Burning Sky, Salopian, Tiny Rebel and Red Willow today. Carpeted inside with a nice collection of decorative ceramic barrels and tin beer jugs and an interesting and novel feature was a Hornby train set ringing the ceiling. An excellent little place.
