Alcampo Lounge is a large open plan establishment with a Mediterranean restaurant feel. Seating is found throughout the interior and during my visit on a recent balmy Friday afternoon the frontage was opened up to some seating on the path out front. I didn’t spot any televisions, but there was some background music playing. Live music is advertised for the first Sunday of each month. The presence of high chairs and the large ‘craft table’ full of crayons and colouring paraphernalia indicates that this is a family friendly business.
The small bar is located in the right rear corner where premium keg products are available. The food is mostly light and priced under £10. I found the service to be polite and I would consider returning if with the family in tow. On my own, I would walk past.
