The place reopened mid-May as an LGBTQ+ venue with all the expected rainbow regalia.
However, it's dominated by TVs (of Logie Baird origin) showing the sport. It's no surprise then that the place is frequently almost empty; what self-respecting member of the LGBTQ+ community is going to want to sit and watch the golf for God's sake? If I were a member of this community I'd make a beeline for the Jolly Farmers, even the Half Moon next door is doing a roaring trade.
This place needs to be less SKY, more KY.

Much as described below with the addition of some plain wood field panelling to some of the walls. A cocktail bar indeed, and one that was open on Christmas Eve unlike the Half Moon or Angel & Greyhound next door which is a bit miserable as they have been open on previous Dec 24ths. As is the nature of the cocktail beast, service is glacially slow as staff mix this, shake that and add ground ice to the slushies dolled out the attendant alcopop-swilling clients and I wasn't at all amused that I was overlooked in favour of two groups who obviously arrived after me and in a venue which was virtually empty.
No beer visible, not even in can or bottle so I plumped for a large scotch to ward off the winter chill whilst listening to Sinatra, Dean Martin and 10cc at too great a volume to be comfortable.
There's typically a very late daily licence which is useful, but otherwise I can't abide these sort of places.

Next door to the Half Moon on Oxford's Magdalen roundabout, this is a chain cocktail bar, so not sure how this has made it onto a site entitled Pubs Galore. Inside it has exposed brick walls, black ceiling, tongue and groove wood floor and raised seating throughout including raised bench seats. As you can imagine, cocktails are the main draw here (one of my drinking buddies plumped for a 2-for-1 offer), although there are some bottled and can beer concessions which included BrewDog Dead Pony Club, Brooklyn Lager, Meantime London Pale Ale and Guinness Hop House 13.
