E TA left this review about Penn Central

A modern corner cocktail bar and diner with a faintly American theme, parquet floors and a visible structure from its conversion from a bank to a bar. There is a large outside seating terrace with a view of the nearby busy road junction, a selection of furniture ranging from Chesterfields to church pews, and there is free WiFi. Food is bistro style, although the standard set piece burgers are also available. There are various decorative references to US cities, but you could be forgiven for not forgetting that you are in Dorset. The staff are young and enthusiastic, the main client base is the 30- to 40-somethings with surplus cash. As a theme it’s a bit tired, but the presence of two real ales, Doombar and Pride, make it worth dropping in for a swift one or a snack. I would include in a crawl as it’s close to two other, more exciting venues.
