Thuck Phat left this review about Towcester Mill Brewery Tap

Based, unsurprisingly, in a 200 year old mill just off Towcester High Street is the Towcester Mill Brewery and Brewery Tap.
The brewery, tap and brewery shop occupies the ground floor with brewery offices on the second floor having replaced the council which had offices here. A positive swap.
The front door leads straight into the Tap which is a cosy bar with plenty of wood including the massive beams which you'd expect in an old mill and which are strung with hops. It feels very comfortable with mixed wood furniture, pictures of the mill from times gone by and the sound of water rushing through the mill race. The friendly welcome fits the laid back feel of the place.
To the right is a corridor leading to both the well-stocked shop and brewery where tours are available although only at specific times.
There is plenty of space behind the mill for seating, unused on our December visit, which overlooks the water and meadows beyond. A very nice spot I'd imagine on a nice day and easy to forget how close you are to the town centre and busy A5.
It's worth checking the website for opening times as the Tap tends to open only in the evenings during the week.
Beers on were largely from Towcester Mill - Mill Race 3.9% on two pumps, Bell Ringer 4.4%, Santa's Tipple 6%, Black Fire 5.2% and Crooked Hooker 3.8%. Guests were Rudgate Brew No 23 4.4% and Whittlebury Amarillo 5.2%, another local brewery. The Black Fire was in very good nick and slipped down well.
The Tap is now deservedly GBG listed and has just won the local CAMRA Summer Pub of 2015 award.
Towcester has long struggled for a variation on Greene King, Wells and Marstons and the Towcester Mill Brewery Tap certainly provides that with good beer in an unusual and atmospheric building.
My first port of call if in town and worth a detour to visit.
