Now reopened as a sports bar. I spotted a couple of hand pumps when walking past, so called in to see what was on, but the two pump clips were reversed. (They were Doom Bar and Pedigree). The young man behind the bar said the Pedigree wasn't ready yet. The place was empty apart from a lot of noise, which I assume was music. I decided not to wait.

Huge place that, I believe, used to be a nightclub years ago. No real ale and more TVs than I've seen outside a Currys.

A brash corner bar, big brightly lit L shaped room with a mix of booth seating and separate tables, some comprise wooden planks on what appear to be victorian screw-jacks. There are screens everywhere. Three pulls in the middle of the counter have a fairly pedestrian choice of Pedigree, Doombar and something so exciting I forgot to write it down., the service and the beer quality were surprisingly good. There's a new flag floor and end columns give a hint of something older but it's all very modern and only the odd bit is grey. Actually it's not too bad.
