This micropub was opened in October 2014 by the people behind the noted Stanley Arms pub in Portslade and is the end unit in a rather unappealing parade of shops just off the main road going North from Lancing Station. It was formerly a launderette and as micropubs go more pubby and spacious than some, they claim they can cater for as many as 30 customers. It's a rectangular wooden floored room with a bar counter on the right and the cool room with the beers and ciders is behind that. It has an artificial ceiling with embedded lights in it and there are various tables and chairs, some of the tables having been constructed from barrels.
In addition to the beer and cider, English wines, English vodka, English gin, international bottled ales and soft drinks are available some of which are kept in a large fridge behind the bar.
On my visit there were three beers available Downlands Porter and Goldmark Red IPA & Glory. I went for the Downlands Porter (£3.50) which was in good condition. This is a nice comfortable micropub and well worth a visit as it is only a short walk from the station.
