David Ross left this review about The Rolling Barrel
A relatively new, purpose built pub, the Rolling Barrel (as its name perhaps suggests) is in the style of an American bar/diner. The two sections are, however, separate, so people eating, with their children, in the diner don't detract from the pub atmosphere in the bar. Prices, for both food and drink, are reasonable. A pint of Tennent's lager cost me £2.95 and Carling lager, Belhaven Best, Guinness and Magner's and Blackthorn ciders are also on draught. The bar has six TV screens and a video jukebox and is modern, clean and tidy. The toilet door signs even say Male and Female rather than using outdated sexist terms. With so many pubs closing nowadays, it's good to see a new one being opened and succeeding as this one has.
