This is a micropub, but it doesn't really look like one. The right hand wall is covered in that stupid book shelf wallpaper, but at least the wall to the left is bare brick. There are 3 tables in the bar and a beer garden to the rear. This is a very middle class micro. The beer range was a major disappointment with 3 beers from Saltaire on the bar plus Wishbone Volk which I'd just had in the nearby Rosse. Why have 3 Saltaire beers when the town is flooded with them? Very dog friendly as there were two in on my Friday late afternoon visit. It's a good micro, but would have been better with a more imaginative beer range. There's a very good, award winning chippy across the road which was my next port of call

We called here on a Thursday afternoon, as the pub opens at 4pm. There was some seating at the bar so we parked ourselves there. We tried three of their ales, from the choice across 4 pumps. We went for the Northern Monk IPA, Burning Sky Plateau and my beer of the week went to Bristol Beer Factory Twelve Apostles. This micro sources some interesting beers, so a must visit in my opinion.

The Cap and Collar is a new build Micro Pub that is just up from the Rosse.
Once inside there is a small oblong shaped room with the bar facing, the floor looks like concrete, there is a drinking shelf and tall chairs to the front, one tall tables and stools to the left, and normal tables and chairs on the right side plus a bench seat to the rear right.
I noted three real ales,i had a drink of Blue Bee Reet Pale which went down very well, the other beers were Saltaire Hop 256 and a Porter from Malinsons.
Casks were behind the bar.
The pub was quite busy on my Saturday afternoon visit, but then again you do not need that many in to make it look busy.
I quite liked this Micro pub

A single room micro pub opened in late November 2014. The casks kept in a glass fronted cabinet behind the counter as at the Beer Engine in Skipton, these supply 4 handpumps, there are also 2 kegs and a cider plus bottled beers and some wines, this is all covered in a drinks menu on small clipboards. There is bench seating that doubles as an empty cask store, a couple of tables with Methodist chapel chairs and a tall bench built on scaffolding with high stools. Interesting decor including paper animal heads, trompe d'oile wallpaper and a bowler hat lamp shade give the place a air of slight eccentricity. The toilet is at the rear and is shown as occupied by a light in the bar. The pub only seats 35 so don't all rush at once but it's certainly worth a visit.
