"I think the address for The Woods should be 31 Waterloo Street, not 29. As the last reviewer said, the Alhambra Inn, The Rabbie Burns and then Kudos all opened on this site. The Alhambra & The Rabbie Burns both seem to be listed separately as 31 Waterloo Street so shouldn't they both be incorporated onto this page. Any thoughts anyone?"

The Woods website and the Royal Mail give the address as 29 Waterloo St. Kudos was reopened and renamed to The Woods. The earlier bars were closed then demolished (2006?) and correctly show as such except an incorrect closure rather than renaming took place, although as long vanished why they were ever added is beyond me. 31 Waterloo Street is occupied by something called Shopsmart.

Colin Walker left this review about Kudos

The Rabbie Burns and even earlier name of The Alhambra Inn used to sit on this site before the building was demolished. Kudos opened on the 5th Nov 2010 in the new building. From the outside on the Waterloo Street side the place gives an impression of being a café with its very small frontage. From the Wellington Street side it gives a different impression of being a restaurant with its very large frontage. When entering from Waterloo Street it does appear to be a café / restaurant. The bar is situated further on and has a good selection of drinks and cocktails. The place is very open plan and airy. There is a private function room available for up to 60 people. There is an outdoor courtyard or as Kudos call it a covered atrium letting you enjoy the perks of being outside in comfort There is a wide varied range of food available. The place is open Mon-Thurs 11:00am to 11:00 pm and Fri-Sat 11:00am to 1:00am. There are plenty of upcoming events check out http://br7112.wix.com/kudosbar#
