The Wrekin Giant is a Hungry Horse with seating throughout that is split up by high partition walls, which I found a bit claustrophobic. The bar counter on the left-hand wall supports standard and premium keg alongside three hand pumps, one of which was in use drawing Greene King IPA. Next to the bar are some kids machines and in an area next to the entrance are some gaming machines. Food is obviously available, the burgers are priced around £10. I found this place to be thoroughly depressing during my midweek afternoon visit last week. So, I decided to sit out the front to watch all the locals, and what must have been every school child in Shropshire, cheer on the Queen Consort as she passed by on a library ribbon cutting appointment.

The first pub to open on the new Southwater development in Telford Town Centre , Southwaters aim is to try and make the souless out of town shopping area more like a proper town centre .

The pub itself is one large room divided by various wooded slated walls , think IKEA in 1975 .
Service from the young bar staff was fine , the one older member of staff was obnoxious , shouting at people if they dared even look at a table with a reserved sign on it , i think he may have been a Sailor with many people saying he was an Anchor .

Usual Hungry Horse cheap meal deals and very busy on a Friday evening although far to many kids shouting and running round for my liking .
Usual keg beers and 3 hanpulls with Old Spekkie Hen , Abbott and GK IPA which was suprisingly OK .
Not really somewhere i would normally head for , but it does its job.
