The Napoli is really an Italian restaurant with a specialisation in pizzas cooked in a wood fired brick oven. Having said that, there is a distinct bar and drinking area as well as a warm welcome for those who just want a beer.
Mr. F's description below needs no additions but I'd simply reiterate that the policy here is to always have one Marble beer available and on our visit the Earl Grey IPA was superb.
The atmosphere here is fun and friendly due in no small part to the delightful staff and owner and I wish them every success.
A cracking little place where I'd happily return to indulge in whichever Marble beer they have on or bring the family for a meal or, better still, both.

This was quite a find. The building was built by the Cooperative movement, and from the exterior it looks like a decent sized pizzeria. However go inside and you will see a small bar with three handpumps. The bar has a number of bar stools, there is a red leather chesterfield couch and chairs and other seating dotted around three tables for people to sit who just want to drink. The openplan interior is dominated by a wood burning pizza oven in brick, while the dining tables are in ranks back to a vast library of books extending up to the high ceiling. The plate glass windows let in a lot of light and the vibe is modern and quite hip.If you dont want a pizza ,a small kitchen provides other meals.I enjoyed the theatre of the owner tossing the pizza dough and there was a good mix of ages among the dining clientele.
However an even better reason to visit the Napoli is to sample their real ale. There are three handpumps ,one for an organic real cider.Chatting to the owner revealed that he wanted to serve the best real ale he could lay his hands on and to that end he went on an extensive tour using much research before selecting Marble beers, helped by several visits to the Marble Arch.I applaud his decision. On my visit the Dobber had just gone but it was replaced by the superb Earl Grey IPA (6.8%,£3.40 and outstanding condition). The third handpump will normally have a lower ABV choice ,often Marble Pint but on this occassion Whim Arbor Light, from this well regarded local micro.
The owner and his young staff were all charming , chatty and enthused about their ale selection. They are very committed to excellence. All the drinkers were equally impressed with the quality of what was on offer, and I would think this recently opened place will be a shoe in for the 2016 GBG.
Leek is a great real ale town ,and as this place will always feature something from the Marble Brewery ,it really is an unmissable treat even though it is far removed from a traditional pub.I will always call in when in town.
