Steve C left this review about The Lawn Club

The Lawn Club is basically some temporarily enclosed decking with a roof overhead and a makeshift bar counter. Premium keg is available, it’s no more expensive than the other bars around this area, although it is card payments only. The barman noticed lipstick on my pint glass before he started pouring, so he made a lame attempt at picking it off in front of me before pouring my pint. I pointed out that there was still lipstick on the glass and that he should have put the glass back in the wash. He then got another glass and transferred the pint. Again I refused to take it requesting a fresh pint, which was begrudgingly given. Absolutely clueless, and very rude. The sound of 90s dance music drew me in and the incompetence of the staff and crap surroundings drove me out.

Its not as expensive as I thought it was going to be but it is crap. There didn't seem to be any real ale on that I could see but its not worth the bother. Another place I'm too old for.

BEWARE, THIS BAR IS A TOTAL RIP OFF.

This is effectively a poshed up set of portakabins with a bit of green grass in the middle. It's full of wannabes and never will be's. Some outside tables around the lawn and a few high stools and tables inside. There are two handpumps of which one was on, pulling Siren Craft Soundwave. I had a pint and the other half had a small (125ml) red wine. The bill was £9.50. The wine was £4 for a small glass and my pint was £5.50!!!!!!!! I queried this and was given a till receipt. The previous highest price I have ever paid for a pint of real ale in Manchester city centre is over £1 less than this. Total theft and lots of brain dead idiots were paying it and then having another one!

YOU THIEVING SODS, I HOPE I'M CLICKING ON THE CLOSED BUTTON ON HERE VERY SOON! YOU'LL DESERVE IT.
