Graham Coombs left this review about The Dolaucothi Arms

Winner of multiple awards, this National Trust-owned pub is a little upmarket but still has some good points. The tiled lounge bar is equipped with some comfy chairs, with a flagstoned back bar being more for diners, although retaining a dartboard (rather obstructed) and a TV screen for major events only. To the rear is a cosy dining room and the large lawned gardens also have numerous tables. Food is the main draw, with an excellent menu varying from pub classics to gastro. Occasional events include quizzes, live music and themed food evenings. On the ale front it offered Evan Evans Cwrw, with a second pump in process of changing over, although condition was a bit suspect. Several ciders were also available.
