Blue Scrumpy left this review about Castle Inn

The Castle Inn is the only remaining pub in the village of Llangorse (or Llangors as it is listed elsewhere).

This was another of those pubs where I could only guess at the opening times. Whatpub suggested it was open from 12-12 on a Sunday. Its facebook page stated that it opened at 1, with no clue as to when it closed. Google stated 1-8!

I decided to trust in Google and having downed by drink in the Llandrindod Wells Royal British Legion in double quick time, I managed to arrive shortly before 8pm. The landlord appeared to be dressed in pyjamas or some very strange outfit, the reason for which I didn't enquire. In hindsight, it was perhaps something to do with Halloween, but I couldn't establish why. A couple of other locals were also finishing drinks, whilst the landlady was clearing up and starting to switch off the lights. Google had been correct.

Nevertheless, I got the feeling that opening times were fairly flexible. With customers in, they probably stay open unless anybody comes through the door who they don't feel like serving. Luckily for me, I must have seemed fairly innocent and in need of a drink.

The pub consists of one main room, which is sub-divided into a dining room to the left and a bar to the right. Butty Bach was the real ale.
