Al Bundy left this review about The Irish House

Now called The Irish House and, you've guessed it, it's another Erin Isle themed pub. Now over 2 floors with a bar on each floor. The ground floor is wooden floored with a long bar. Usual standard lagers, bitters and Guinness available. Some IPA called Franciscan Well available too. Its all very green lighting and paintwise. Upstairs bar has same beers available. Here can be found a pool table and a boxing ring feature with a large Mike Tyson in boxing pose statue in the ring. Much better than when it was Dawsons. Just a note: the Greenwoods Suit shop that was next door is the proccess of being made into another Irish bar called Linegans Bar. I hope this is informative enough Bobby boy.

Old Boots left this review about Dawsons

Housed in a former music shop which has now moved to Williamson Street, the name and even the posters in the upstairs windows remain. Downstairs in the dreadful single space is a drinking area selling Carling John Smiths Smooth and their elk although there are two unused pulls. Middle aged Carling and Smooth drinking clientele, probably as you expect. Tables and chairs plus some high tables and stools, lots of screens and machines - nasty, I left ASAP as I was getting depressed.
