A shabby single bar and diner occupying a former shop on the main road. Its regular clientele appear to be students, though of what it was difficult to establish. The flooring and decor fail to provide any atmosphere, simply making it look unkempt. The food was nothing special, the furniture looks like a job lot from a bailiffs’ sale and there is no real ale or decent wine. I had a pint of megakeg cider which made me feel queasy. There is free WiFi, newspapers are available, the staff are friendly and it opens late some evenings, but given the proximity of other, better bars, I don’t see my coming back here too often.
