Food led Chef and Brewer pub. Greene King IPA and Doom Bar plus Black Sheep bitter and St Austell Tribute. The Tribute was fine. We ate here and the food was very good.

Nick Davies left this review about Old Mill

There's been a mill here for a thousand years in what was once a doubltess lovely rural spot, now swamped by Coventry's suburban sprawl. Some bits of the building may date back a few hundred years, but it's been extended and refurbished countless times and currently labours under Greene King's mid-market Chef and Brewer brand. This one comes with a hotel bolted on. It's pleasant enough inside, corporate olde-worlde as you might expect, with a number of discrete areas to nose round. There's a garden out the back by the river and pond and you can look at the water wheel.

GKIPA and Doombar were the mundane beer choices when we called, with Hook Norton's seasonal Greedy Goose guesting. It was flat as a pancake and cold enough to throw a haze.

There's very little reason to call here, unless maybe you are a keen horticulturalist visiting the noteworthy nurseries over the road. It is, of course, insanely popular with Coventrians enjoying Sunday lunch with their in-laws, so time your visit accordingly.
