custodian 42 left this review about Abbys

L shaped room with the bar at the junction of the L I got the only table without knives and forks on it, so this is a diners place.

Old Blue left this review about Abby's Wine Bar & Bistro

Chic, cosy establishment tucked away down Grimsby’s little Abbeygate boutique shopping centre. It looks very small at first glance, but extends round the side into another property, and is decorated in burgundy and white, with various twigs and other adornments. Primarily an eating place and wine bar, with various a la carte, tapas, lunch, evening, and set menus, the set menu I saw offered two courses for £17.95, and the bottom end of the lunch menu was sandwich and a non-alcoholic drink for a fiver. Obviously not a regular beer drinker’s choice, with no real ale, though there were four keg offerings available: Bass, Becks’s Vier, Stella Black or Peroni. A pint of Peroni set me back a considerable £4.60, though was pleasantly served and they were fine for me to prop up the bar whilst drinking it.
