A nice little pub just off the main road. An Arkells house with three of theirs on; 3B (extremely good nick), Kingsdown and Moonlight. Interior is an unfussy u-shaped affair, a traditional feel with wood bar and carpet. Restaurant area is off to the right. Items of note included darts, board games, TV (switched off), quiz night (1st and 3rd Weds) and, perhaps incongruously, karaoke. There’s a choice of well-manicured beer gardens to choose from. Pretty busy for an early Sunday afternoon. Licensees are fairly new but have moved over from the Gun in Wash Common – a good little pub when I visited a few months back and they seem to have the knack. I liked this one and it’s worth a visit.
