Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Rack of Ale

Hardly a large room, but the absence of a bar counter means there is a little more seating than one might expect. Fairly plainly furnished and decorated, with the main feature being a large mural of Dover Castle in silhouette. The interior signage indicated four real ales and a similar number of draught ciders were on offer, and my pint of something from Wantsum described as "medium light hoppy" (£3.00) was on good form. Friendly welcome too, so well worth seeking out.

The last micro pub of the day and the last pub before kick off at Dover Athletic. I must admit I was slightly micro pubbed out by the time we got here and therefore this very short review will reflect that.

4 ales and a good number of ciders on, the ale choice wasn’t that inspiring so I went for a pint of Classic IPA @ 4.5% from the Ripple brewery, the ale was fine and so was the atmosphere.

The front seating area is quite small and again beers are brought from the back, this also where the toilets are located and a further seating area but it’s a bit like a kitchen.

Again only stopped for one before heading to the ground.

Dover's first micropub, two rooms, the back one has comfy seats while the front is the typical micro wooden Spartan style. A warm welcome and friendly chat complemented the excellent beers. Lymestone Stone the Crows plus Mauldon's Lemon Adder and Ripple Steam Best Bitter were all in perfect condition. No cider on when we visited, but apparently it is sometimes available. No food, no electronic distractions, just a really good alehouse. Nice rack, worth keeping abreast of.

This one is Dover's first micropub. It consists of a fairly typical rectangular room with mostly high tables & chairs and a wooden floor. There was talk of a room at the back that I didn't look into. There was a music track playing from the back of the room, presumably for the owner but the use of mobile phones is looked down upon. As well as the usual beers ciders and soft drinks specialist gin and rums are sold. Live music was advertised and being discussed by the owner.
Five beers were on offer on my visit, Mauldon's Lemon Adder, Andwell King John, Kent House Gold, Elland South Sea Pale and Ripple Steam Best. I went for the Andwell beer (£3.20) which despite being the end of the cask was in good nick (it was changed for Lymestone Stone the Crows).
This is another excellent friendly micropub but I preferred the Lanes. It's GBG 2017 listed.
