David Ross left this review about Hyde Bar

This is a new, purpose built bar/diner in an area already well served with pubs and restaurants. It's on two levels, with separate eating and drinking sections and a small outdoor terrace on the roof of the ground floor. It's expensive, even by West End standards, with a pint of Estrella Damm costing me £4.75. There is a good range of other beers, with Tennent's, St. Mungo, Innis and Gunn and Drygate Bearface lagers, Joker IPA and Caledonia Best also on draught, as is Magner's cider. There is also an impressive selection of bottled beers, spirits and cocktails. With so much competition nearby and prices at this level, it's not surprising that the bar was fairly quiet, even on a Friday evening. The dining area, on the other hand, seemed quite busy.
