David Ross left this review about The Quarter Gill

With Guinness selling at £3.55 a pint, this isn't an inexpensive option in an area of very high pub density, especially since it's a fairly ordinary small street corner bar. It was packed and noisy on the Friday evening I called in, with loud music and louder conversations. A good selection of draught beers also features Tennent's, Carling, Stella Artois, Beck's, Peroni, Birra Moretti, Hop House 13, Budweiser, Coors and Pilsner Urquell lagers and Belhaven Best, as well as Strongbow cider. The clientele was young to middle aged with a 50/50 male/female mix. Karaoke sessions are advertised on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, with live sports (on TV presumably) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and quizzes on Thursdays.
